There are many things I do that may be quirk, or unique to the person I am, weather you like black lights a lot, or video games always seem to calm you down, even when your picking terrorist off with a 50 cal sniper. Maybe you love the roaring 20's and love stories of Gangsters, and thugs. Either way part of the appeal to these things is they don't come with a price of living. As a country you can enjoy these things, more and love every given second of it.
I'm a fan of chocolate, i'm sure we all are. We each enjoy it in our own special way. I mean that's part of the beauty of it right. We have so much to choose from. I like Hershey's myself. Especially those old school rappers you can get a cracker choclaters barrel with the little girl on it. that's chocolate. Some prefer lindt, or godiva. Swedish, and German. little pricey though. Either way your getting German chocolate. How? you may ask, well you know that Hershey guy. Well he's German, and made his chocolate that same way, maybe not in balls or in shiny packaging. but you wanted the chocolate right.
I ride Harley Davidson motorcycles, ok maybe not right now, but hey I'm still a little Green. This is a little tougher to describe as there are a lot of levels that my adoration comes. But one we can all agree on is that signature sound, when you ignite the spark for a weekend trip.
I play Fender Guitars. A lot due to guys like Hendrix, and Clapton, and Mayer more presently. That signature Strat sound that no software or digital analyzer can really imitate. There is an ethereal quality in an american Deluxe, three tone Sunburst Strat that yo just gotta hear it right to experience it.
Through all these examples I have given what do they have in common. Well on the surface nothing there completely different products. I mean chocolate, and guitars don't really have anything in common right. Well the one thing is They are American made. Symbols of this great country. Because of this wonderful place the people that built and created these companies, were able to build them. The founders were not from this soil. They came from across the sea. They built a lasting imprint on our culture that cannot be overlooked or denied.
Look around you at all the things we made possible, things that put us on the top. Apple is around because of an American, At&T, General Electric, Hewlett Packard, Ford, Dodge, Chevy, etc. Abundant means of things that made life better, for everyone.
So I may be chastised for my love of these things. Then let it be. I love this country, it gave my great grandfather an opportunity, to express himself, to reap the benefits of his labor, and to make him feel unashamed of who he was. I have heard others say how could you ride a Harley Davidson, it sounds broken already with that noise it makes. You know that noise is American labor at work, its the product of a vision that a man had, because he exercised his right to capitalism. There is nothing wrong with the product, it took pride to make it. The problem is only the person riding it. When tat person fails to take care of the things he put is hard earned money to. I will not be ashamed of what I support, because It's my country I'm supporting. So slander me, berate me and say everything I buy or work towards is a piece of utter shit. Last time I checked the reason other countries mass produce cars is cause of the incarnation of the assembly line, and where did that come from, the great U.S.A. A honda civic isn't legendary, neither is a toyota corola. Throughout the world a civic, well that's a heap of metal on the street. no, you know what's legend. A 67 Shelby Mustang, an Ls1 Chevy, a Dodge Charger, a 57' Bel Aire. Those are legendary. A Kawasaki Vulcan Motorcycle is not as Legendary as an Old Indian Motorcycle.
So if i may show how much choice we really have hear in keeping it in our own country, and you misinformed souls don't like it, then oh well. Some of us just wanted to maybe rebel. "Oh I aint gettin no stinkin Chevy truck, man I'm gonna get a Corola, yeah man that shit gets like 35 miles to the gallon." Well so does the Ford Focus, just pointing that out there, and oh the only time something thats made doesn't last is when it's not taken care of, you can't expect something to just last and put no effort into it. As a side note I mean no disrespect to any of my friends that may drive a foreign vehicle I'm pointing out the rather minuscule differences in countries vehicles. At least Germany and italy don't flood our market with their cars. They are safe in this comparison. Oh and a lot of the bigger money we wold pay to them stays around here due to the mergers and partnerships with American superiors in the companies hierarchy. Lets put them on thin ice for this purpose.
It's ok to love these things in this country. It may not be the most choices possible to have, but wold you rather have a decent amount or none at all. You decide.
