Swinging For November

This is just a good sign of where we are going. This news takes place in Hawaii, and is about the changing of the tide for this November Elections. Yeah I do understand it's just been a little over year but still. I would use the word "change" but it brings a not to good connotation.

I also understand that there are still things that take a lot more time to handle. That is not the point I am trying to make. Especially as a man one of the top ten rules of manhood is to always take responsibility for your actions. This extends to all things, and right now in the aloha state that's what the voters are doing. especially a place where Obama spent his childhood in.

In a statement, a republican representative said, "Eighteen months ago, President Obama carried this district with seventy percent of the vote". Imagine that 70 percent of the vote, but now this time voters chose in favor of a GOP Rep. A nice show a flavor from the islands.

Arizona Tribulations

You know I don't get how complicated this has become. This thing in Arizona is nothing more than an inflated government looking for more votes. Mexican President met with president Obama today, and at the visit said that the law discriminated against Mexicans. You can read the article here, Mexican Pres. Calderon Arrives In U.S., Slams Arizona Law. See the thing is is it is ILLEGAL to be an ILLEGAL immigrant, this has nothing to do with race. Look if it was a german that didn't have the right stuff then the same fate awaits. I understand we make it really hard to become a citizen, then again some aliens get to vote within three months of coming here. Last time I checked I had to wait 18 years to vote, and I was born here.

Obama stated “We will retain our firm rejection to criminalize migration so that people that work and provide things to this nation will be treated as criminals,” Calderon said. “And we oppose firmly the SB-1070 Arizona law, given unfair principles that are partial and discriminatory.”

Well I like how you criticize people for doing there job. You know we are not criminalizing migration, this country was founded and made great with immigrants, but we do criminalize ILLEGAL immigration. There's nothing complicated about it.

MEDIA, DUN DUN DUN!

You got to watch out for the media I guess these days. I mean xbox's, Ps3's, and most of all, the internet. Huh? you may ask. Well yeah according to Obama. Listen to this speech he Hampton.

You know I like how people who have a gift of gab can really get you off the topic at hand. Yeah the internet is a dangerous place. Well were are in the information age. Besides I really don't think you mind Mr. President, I mean you do have an ipad, and an ipod. Plus you have had them for a while so I'm relatively certain you can pull it out and use it. But folks remember it can rot your brain. Or maybe it can show you the truth. Sometimes it's really simple. May not be what you want to hear, but it's still truth. By the way just to remind you America, you have to pay this guy 400k for the rest of his life. Does he really have an incentive to do a good job when he's getting paid anyway.

For Our Mothers

She washed your clothes, she made you breakfast, she changed your diaper and got a nose full of your shit. She's your number one fan. She's your mom. It may be that today of days is the day for mothers. So this post is dedicated to you mom's. Weather working or running the house, it's really a full time job. Even today kids don't understand what a good portion of you have, or had to go through to give them a chance at life. I guess it may be the media.

Usually your the one that packs the bottles, let your kids know that cheating is bad. You watch your kids grow, in the hopes that they'll hammer home that the care and love you put forth for them was all worth it. I'm pretty sure I wasn't always an angel for my mom, and that's not something I'm proud of. But I'm pretty sure I learned my lesson more than once. We owe a lot to our mothers. Most of our chance at this world. I've seen a few people in my day... and as I sit outside of Starbucks, Luthur Vandros' "Dance with my Father" just came on and it's getting me really emotional that I can't be home for mothers day.

I think the biggest thing our mothers taught us is how to love. It's their own unconditional love that I think we look for in our spouses and in the case of friends, how our bonds grow closer with them. I learned a lot about parenting form my mother. Not to say I am a dad, but hey you can't learn parenting form a book. Moms are great moral compasses for us.

So today if you hated getting kissed on the cheek right in front of the school bus, show mom you were secretly appreciative. Also to be frank, if it wasn't for them you wouldn't be here. God Bless you Mothers.

So I Digest

Well I would like to start by saying this blog is not going to be about what I ate at dinner today, and explaining the complexities of how my body processed that food. No this is just about what going on around town. It was a pretty big month last month, because of the fact that we were in the month that has the highest amount of people that fail the class. Yeah I'm 3 months away from graduating, I don't care if have to lock myself up in solitary and get fed through the door because all my books are in there I'm still going to do it. I did realize however that that last class was the last class I will ever take in my educational career. Though we are never done learning. Learning a form of math in an educational institution is now over.

I do want to point out however I have a lot of respect for the teachers who brave teaching math to a school that it known for its adamant stance of hating math. To come in there and still face kids with resentment in them because there being woken up at 9 am to go to a class for math is not something for the faint of heart.

On the home front for me any way Boston has a victory over the flyers. Celtics are now facing the Cavs in the Conference semis, and the Sox...well they have to get their act together before they fall 10 games behind the Yanks. In other events the whole debacle in Arizona. Man it's a shame people may not get what it's really about. Let me just say Illegal immigration is still going to be illegal even if Mexicans, latinos, or Hispanics are not involved. A hungarian who is in the country illegally is still an Illegal immigrant. That's the issue. It has nothing to do with race.

Classes this month mark a rather important time in this life at Full Sail. I'm sure other students and class members are knowing that the clock is ticking on their time at Full Sail. I was talking to a friend of mine, and her biggest miss is Full Sail itself. I've been acquainted with the ways of the employee. Been under the eye of a business. There is a big thing about this being a rite of passage. For one I mean we are done school. besides the possibility of doing a Masters, which is basically online, this is it. for those who weathered the storm you did it. It's a good and slightly awkward feeling. Mostly because of the question of "Now what?" comes flowing through your brain. Well I'm gonna say that'a a good feeling. Doing something that not many can hack is a real achievement. For me this month I'm going to try and juggle working live on Fridays, and putting time into running sound for a syndicated news show. Remember class is Monday through Saturday. I mean we were always told you know to try. I still think they don't understand. I mean with what time that you don't give us to do something outside of class.

So I remember something that's said in class, and I also believe this can apply to any field one may endeavor to go into. That is you can't want to do this. You have to do it. There is no want you don't know anything else. This is you. It' your fiber.
