Church & State

We live in trying times. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The following is about how, weather by want or necessity, some fail to realize that the topics of hot button issues and controversies wind up with moral dilemmas for everyone. Political issues, and moral issues have a foundational tie to religious thought. You talk about abortion, that'll the the theology pumping. The people that are pro-life, well because there thinking with a faith base. The matter of race. Well the Golden Rule comes up. You can't have a debate about something without getting Religion involved, so as far as stating that once something religious comes in the debate is over.

I don't mean to imply that there is always going to be a side that is the religious conservative side. The teachings of theology are so intrinsic, that moral though has religious tones throughout, and it's not something we can easily avoid shy from just not saying anything. I think that's good and it's ok. We shouldn't get rid of that, because it just goes to show you the ingrained notions that flow through our head. It's not just about merely proving a point that you think your right in. It's a lot more than that, it goes a lot deeper. It think it's part of the human condition, and the like image we were created in.

I just don't want this country or the world to loose it's roots. I don't want people to forget the stories of the past and to understand that you have to learn from history, there is no way around it. we should just remember the teachings of our ancestors even if other cultures don't see it that way. I'm not going to condemn in any way a greek Catholic who tells stories of the gods to his or her kids. There are a lot of moral teachings in them and it was part if their ancestral culture. Almost all that led us to be the country we are was because of the pious leaders in our Founding Fathers. We need to put aside our lust, and just listen.
